Ancestor money, also known as Hell notes, Jade Dollars, and spirit money is a note dedicated to being burnt and offered to your ancestors. The burning of ancestral money eliminates financial debt that your ancestors could've incurred while they were alive. This debt could be an obstacle within your lineage and you can help them pay that debt by burning ancestral money, ultimately dedicating that money towards your ancestors- elevating your lineage. How do I burn the money? 💸✨
Simply speak your intentions to the bill by being guided by your intuition. If this is your first time and you're unsure of your ancestors, I recommend writing on the dollar a prayer letting your ancestors know it is for them, an example of the prayer would be psalms 23 or writing your own such as (example) :
"To my Ancestors of good intention, I come before you to honor your sacrifices, thank you for your influence over my life, and pay any debt that may be an obstacle to our lineage. Worldly matters can steer me off my path, interfering with messages you might send my way. I ask that you please show me my path. Please show me what is no longer within my alignment and guide me on ways to connect with you, healing any generational curses that come our way. I surrender to this transformation and new milestone in my life, it is with your will that it be done. Amen/Asé - (Your name)"
Once your intention is clear, you will set a bill on fire in a fire-proof container such as a cauldron and drop the bill in. You can give them as many bills as you'd like. An indicator that the ancestors are receiving the money is the beautiful green flame that the fire begins to have. Seeing a green flame within the fire means the ancestors are receiving the money, and that your offering is accepted! This could take a bit of veneration so do not give up, consistency is key! Developing a routine with your ancestors by strengthening your bond and connection with them!
